Campo Viejo Rioja Crianza 2007, Spain

Some time away from all the stresses of dissertation- writing was required this weekend, which saw my family and I pay a visit to Broad Farm in Fleggburgh, Norfolk, where we holed up in a caravan for a few days.

Since its no secret that I’m a sucker for Spanish red wine, when I found this Rioja- a favourite of mine when in Spain- on offer in Tesco for just £5.99, I couldn’t resist picking up a bottle.

After half a day spent getting windswept and sunburnt on Caister beach (for photographic evidence, see below!), with delicate aromas of vanilla and berry flavours, a glass of this wine went excellently with the fresh British strawberries we had purchased earlier that day.
