Bear with me!

Everything is a bit manic at Gevaux HQ as I’ve just bought a house. It’s all very exciting but, aside from plenty of celebratory Champagne, I have neglected tasting in favour of tearing off wallpaper and looking at new kitchens so you’ll have to bear with my erratic blogging for a while.

In other news though, I discovered that our new garden has a vine – stay tuned to find out how experimentation goes with this baby…

‘Summer’ wine

Our summer is about as reliable as a politician but this much you can depend upon – come rain or shine I WILL enjoy a nice refreshing rosé because that is what you do in August!

In my glass this weekend was Sainsbury’s Taste the Difference Fronton Rosé 2012 – a blend of Négrette, Cabernet Franc and Syrah grapes, this crisp, dry wine is ideal for summer sipping. With spiced cherry and strawberry flavours, it’s light enough to enjoy with all manner of summer dishes but packs enough punch to warm you through should the weather take a turn for the worst.

Enjoy! If you need me, I’ll be channeling my inner Gene Kelly in the garden.
